“For children who may never have travelled beyond the constraints of their city, and who’s lives are often in turmoil, the opportunities afforded them by the Glencoe Outdoor Centre were greatly appreciated by us all. We can only give our heartfelt thanks to all those involved.”

Multi-activity courses offering  pupils the opportunity to sample a range of activities are the most popular choice, whilst some groups prefer to specialise, for example skiing in winter.
Personal development courses, particularly suited to High School pupils and addressing topics such as communication, co-operation, initiative, leadership and teamwork, are also offered. Our course programmes for schools are designed to provide for the principles of  Curriculum for Excellence
Most schools opt for a week’s course (Monday lunchtime to Friday lunchtime) or for a weekend (Friday evening to Sunday after activities) but other lengths of stay are also possible. Non-residential activity courses are available for those schools preferring to visit on a daily basis.

Glencoe Outdoor Centre specialises in outdoor learning  for primary and secondary pupils, geared to the age and abilities of the young people and shaped by the principles of  Curriculum for Excellence.
